Pro Tools and controllers missing

Since 2018.10 each time I start PT and my controller is not plugged (ICON icontrols pro) ==> PT freezes ... after the message that my controller is missing.
Same issue with another controller (ipad Control app) if my Ipad is not opened PT freezes ...
Do you experiment the same

But I have to say that last time I waited for and after long time it starts (popup on recent projects opens !) but again frozen (not response)

Its always been best to have all peripherals connected when you boot the computer As for the iPad and Control, that might be due to Windows 8.1(I run Windows 10 here and can add the iPad most any time after opening PT or when already in a session).

But Why PT, which have detected there is no device, freezes ... ? I hope in a next release we will able to connect devices when we want ! (it's the case for Cubase for example)

As I said, it might be that you are running Windows 8.1 instead of 10.

Really weird ! actually it was not a controller issue but I had a big latency time for my audio interface (2048) ! Pro Tools don't like bigger latency ... ?!
As soon I decrease to 512 Pro Tools ran well
