M2 MAC STUDIO ULTRA and HDX2 AutoTune Hybrid and MDW6 problems.

Hello guys, I'm facing a problem on my system.

I'm on a new M2 Mac Studio Ultra 128gb ram, connected to a Sonnet Echo III chassis (hdx mode on) with 2x HDX cards and 1x UAUDIO Octocore.
Dual Screen setup (Samsung G9 Odyssey Neo 49" and a Samsung 75" tv)

When I run PT (2023.9) in Native Mode, both in DSP and Hybrid Engine, if I fiddle a bit with the settings of Auto-Tune Hybrid (instantiated on a input track) Pro Tools stop working, showing spinning beach ball.

Second problem, when fiddling with the UI of Massenburg MDW6, the whole Pro Tools ui freezes for a moment, sometimes half a second, sometimes a couple of seconds and then it goes back to normal.

If I run Pro Tools in Rosetta, recreating the same scenario no problems at all with those plugins.

Hopefully someone else is experiencing the same problems ...

I contacted both Antares and MDW. Antares says they are aware of the problem but no firm date on a fix.

Please let me know if you experience something similar.

I’m having the exact same issue with Massenburg MDW6. I’m on Mac Studio Max.

I absolutely hate this plug-in but I’m forced to use it for a client.

Auto-Tune Hybrid is not apple silicon native yet
You shouldn't see it in your plugin list when lunching pro tools in native mode.

It’s weird.. I see it in AAX Silicon native mode.. The AAX DSP version too.. and it hangs…

If i boot pro-tools in Rosetta Auto-tune Hybrid AAX DSP works like a charm ..

Btw I opened two different cases with Antares but both time they closed the case, telling me they would have provided more info in the near future. .. Strange…

I had a similar thing happen using AutoTune Hybrid and an Intel I7 6-Core 32G RAM Mac, running AAX DSP. Everything would be fine for a while then the MAC would just freeze and I'd get a beach ball. Very strange. When we moved to a Mac M1 running Rosetta it worked fine. Can't tell you exactly why, but I have to feel it's a AutoTune issue. Strange.

Re: Autotune- I googled "autotune hybrid m1 native" and came up with this on the first hit from the Antares site:
"Please note Auto-Tune Hybrid and Auto-Tune Pro are not compatible with Apple Silicon."

Re: MDWQEQ6- try making sure that the GUI interface is set at 100% rather than a larger size. Some users on Gearspace and have reported this problem and have indicated that setting the GUI size back at 100% returns normal operation.
