Connect mBox 3 to Pro Tools

i recently got an mBox 3 and i am having trouble connecting it to Pro Tools, i want to record guitars so i go new track, mono audio, then i go to select an input and the mBox does not show up, it just shows built in inputs and microphones. I want to know how to get inputs and outputs through the mBox, please help!!!!

Make sure the Mbox is selected as the Playback Engine in Pro Tools (Setup > Playback Engine). Once this is done you should be able to choose an Mbox input on an audio track.

The playback engine is the mbox, what would the input and output be called if I had the mbox connected?

Probably something like "Mic/Line 1", "Mic 1", "In 1" etc. If it's still showing the same inputs, go to Setup > I/O and click "Default" on the Input and Output tabs with the Mbox still the Playback Engine.
