lost ilock

so i reecently moved and some how misplaced my ilock key...whats the best way to handle this...how fast can i get a replacement....

Get a police report if it was stolen then contact Digi customer service to see what they can do for you. 650.731.6198

If it was just lost then you might be out of luck since it's considered hardware. Either way you'll probably end up paying a discounted price to recover your licenses back. Just depends on the situation.

Find it.....Seriously.

I think the answer here is going to be that it was your key, in your possession and you lost it. Hence repurchase/replacement is solely your responsibility. I would be surprised if they offer you discounts on repurchasing any plugs you may have had registered if you simply lost it.

If it was stolen with a police report of the theft its a slightly different story.

Sorry I'm not trying to be mean or critical just predict the official reaction. My main Ilok never leaves to house because I am afraid of losing it.

Yup, I would agree with the above poster. I don't think Digi will be sympathetic if you've just misplaced it.

That is my WORST nightmare regarding my setup. Losing my iLok would be terrible! No more Smack!, no more Hybrid, no more Structure LE...... I don't even want to THINK about it!

Sad truth? Unless the iLok is insured, you're SOL.
A broken iLok is replaceable, a "lost" iLok is not.

thanks y'all...ended up that my 1 year old got a hold of the case i had it in and threw it behind the changing table...WHEW!...had 2 work at another studio so the ilok was traveling from the bx to mnhttn twice a week...i had a feelin in my stomach i would lose it but, god is good!
