Midi set up problems on 001, it used to work

For some reason there is a device with a question mark on a new install.
when I put in my 001,my keyboard and my 2080, the midi ports will not let me connect. the 001 ports face up instead of down,not facing the other ports like they used to. Default used to flip the 001 allowing a connect, but now default makes the setup disappear.
