Not necessarily. I once built a PC for a friend, and it was crashing all the time. I tested his RAM using a serious PC ram testing program, called memTest86, and it reported that everything was fine.

However, swapping in my RAM into his computer immediately made the crashes go away, and then going back to his RAM made it crash, so clearly the RAM was at fault. And I'm guessing the Apple hardware test is equal or less thorough than the memTest86 program.

So, if you can try out all new RAM, I would highly recommend it.

No freeze this week... yet. Recording with network execs present on Monday (About 1.5 hours) went without a hitch. Maybe trashing Digi Databases did it. I did pull my cards out for the Apple hardware test. Maybe re-seating the cards helped. Haven't swapped RAM yet. Waiting for another freeze. I don't know, but I'm happy for now. Again, thanks for the help.

I had exactly your problem (different machine but same prob).

Trashed all prefs and databases and she's been a good girl ever since.

Fingers, however, are still crossed.

Still no problems. I still had the issue after trashing the prefs, so I think the database trashing was the ultimate fix.
