Default Setting up 003 rack + I/O list with Protools 12

I've been attempting to properly set up my I/O list on protools 12, in accordance with the 003 rack plus (after a year of not touching any DAW) so please excuse my ignorance. I've deleted all paths for input, output, bus and selected default for all three. I'de like to set up a path for my monitors on the output tab but my analog outs only go up to 9, Optical 10-16, and S/PDIF 17-18. The 003 rack plus has 8 line outputs and a separate out for monitors. Shouldn't there be an extra 2 analog outs for the monitors instead of stoping at 9? I'm so lost.

Just Go to Setup, Playback Engine, and Check first if 003 is set as Playback Engine!!!! then Go to i/o settings and just click on input tab click on default, as well on the output tab, click on default, and you will see all i/o from 003...

The 003 Rack plus is selected as the playback engine, I have selected default for both input and output but the output still only shows 9 analog outs. The rack has 8 outputs to use and then the separate monitor outputs. Shouldn't this result in 10 analog outputs on the I/O list?

The monitor output will simply output whatever is being sent to Output 1-2.

If you are operating at 44.1k or 48k sample rates, there should be 9x stereo outs.

There should be 9x stereo outs total = 18 outputs
... 8x analong
... 8x ADAT
... 2x SPDIF

The 'Main' and 'Alt' monitor outputs are a mirror of analog outputs 1/2, unless you press the 'Aux In' button in the monitor section on the front panel, in which case whatever sound connected to the 'Aux In' sockets is send to the mo itor outputs.

So you can't route audio to the monitor outputs separately and independantly. This is different to how some other audio interfaces work, where for example UAD Apollo and most MOTU interfaces have their monitor/main outputs available to route audio to independently of analog outputs 1/2.

The 'Main' and 'Alt' outputs are for connecting two sets of monitors, and audio is routed to the 'Main' outputs unless the 'Alt CR' button is pressed, in which case the audio is instead routed to the 'Alt' outputs.
