Default my rig is running pretty smoothly,..5.0 just got here, ...should I upgrade?

mac 9600 350, 4.3.1, 2.6 wave shell, everything works (or I know the workarounds) My new 5.0 software just got here. What awaits me? trouble and tweaking for....?
Do I need a week free of sessions to proceed? will my rig handle the new features???

Steven,

If, by chance, your system drive is partitioned, and one of the partitions can be spared and is big enough, just install another system on it as well as PT 5. Your plugin installs should be fine, because they authorize the DISK, not the VOLUME.
This way you can try new versions - e.g. of MacOS - and don't have to give up the old system, in case you get in trouble, and you spare yourself the tedious PACE copy protection blues.

good luck,

tonemeister
