Mbox 2 compatibility
Can somebody help me please? i have a pro tools 8.4 installed on my pc windows xp i bought a Mac Lion OS X 10.7.4 and i want to buy pro tools 10, install it on my mac desktop and still be able to connect my old blue mbox 2. will pro tools 10 software wether online or hardcopy be able to recognize my M-box? or i will definitely have to get the new interface?

yes the old m box 2 will work , from pt 9 up any class compliant inter face will work...
That said..... there are so many killer interfaces out there its a great time to upgrade the old m box 2... mine is gathering dust.....the RME that replaced it is miles ahead in clean gain from the built in pre amps, better clocking, and runs outboard pre's very well... pro tools 10 is pretty cool, clip gain is a very usful tool..... |
