sound skip in Protools 9

OK guys, I'm going to try fielding this problem again. As those who bother to read my posts know I am experiencing an audio playback problem where intermittently there will be a spot where there is no sound. I have described this as a skip. Well now it has changed! Now there is an audible sound where the skip had been and the best I can describe it is a scrub! I can compare it to the sound you get when you use the scrub tool but it's more like, dr,r,r,r,r !
I'm thinking that the problem is originating from a bad spot on my main pc drive,(C:). Does this sound possible? Any other opinions are welcome.

Well, I must assume that I am the only one on the duc that has ever experienced this problem on a pc!
So, I withdraw the post and l'll live with it! Thanks guys.

Never experienced this here, but if you suspect any issue with the drive, its time to clone that beast, as in right NOW
