Spikes when recording (LE)

I'm having some issues when recording with a mic.
When I record I get these audio spikes in my session, they occur every 58 seconds. If I don't have the mic plugged in this doesn't happen.
However it keeps going until I restart the m-box even if the mic isn't on.

I've ruled out any cpu problems, but I have no Idea what it might be.
