For anyone interested, I have attached some pictures for reference.

I did this in Mavericks 10.9, Pro Tools HD10 (HD5 Accel), Soundhack 0.896 (32Bit only) Its a very long and monotonous process.. this session took around 3 hours so bring snacks.

Rename the PT session file to .pts or .ptf if its missing the extension (one of them will work depending on which PT version it was created in)

Open the PT File disregarding the missing audio as you will need to know the sample/bit rate of the files you want to fix. You can find that information out from the Session Setup window in pro Tools (CMD+2)

Using Soundhack..
1. Open any file. shortcut is CMD+A
2. Header Change CMD+H
Each audio file needs to be manually defined, 24bit, sample rate etc. Enter the approprate data for your file.
3. Save to new location, CMD+S
Select the appropriate Format and Encoding (In this case it was Sound Designer 2, 24Bit Linear)
rename the file back to original name (you can tell the original name from what PT is trying to look for vs the name that you have) Don't worry if you made a mistake, you can rename it from in finder later too.
4. Repeat for every file.
5. Copy all of the processed files to your Audio Files folder.

Open Pro Tools
Manually relink the files in Pro Tools by name and size if PT doesn't find them automatically

Done!
Awesome sauce--PM sent! A deep bow to all--mad appreciated.

I suspect that her sessions are still stored on an HFS formatted drive and putting the files in Dropbox led to the loss of the resource forks. If she has access to a Mac, all that needs doing is to zip the session folders on the Mac and everything will be there if unzipped on a Mac.
