The aax native bug of subharmonic combined with PT 2018.7 has been logged by Avid. DSP is working fine. I have not tested offline bounces.

FYI, native still doesn't work properly in 2018.10 (plugin version 18.8).

after a year of staying away from this plugin in favour of Lowender I was wondering if the situation has been fixed or is AVID's plugin still better avoided?

Does it now behave consistently in terms of level and automation?

Just checked with PT 2019.12 and Subharmonic 18.8.
It's still broken when using native. DSP is still ok.

Sigh.... now with Revibe DSP being broken, video engine broken, region wide volume automation not moving along with fades, random cpu errors, waiting over 1,5 yrs for a eucon choppy automation fix, this stupid new licensing system, all I can say is:
