Melda Plugins won't work

Am trying to have a look at these and have downloaded the free bundle of plugins to see if i like them.
I've followed the install and checked they are all in the > library > applications >digidesign > plugins folder. However despite them being a trial pack Prootools 10 still says they cannot be used (without an ilok, which i have!) and do i want to put them in the 'unused folder' . I click 'no' and then inevitably i cannot see/use them.
what am i doing wrong?

Did you get the right versions from the site for your version of PT?

You have an iLok, but do you have the authorization ON the iLok?

Uninstall or otherwise remove the versions you have installed now, get the latest version of JUST the free plug-ins, without any trial versions of the paid plug-ins. Download and install only the top product in the downloads here:

Are you on Mac OS X? What exact version of Pro Tools 10? It would have to be a version of Pro Tools 10 that supports AAX plug-ins.

There is no RTAS version included in the installer, so you should not have any of these plug-ins in the RTAS plug folder:
/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins

They would all be installed in the AAX plug-ins folder:
/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/MeldaProduction
