Default Volko Audio Q3D

Looks like a really nice EQ, and free too. But it's not working for me on PT 12.7.1 /OSX 10.10.5

No audio in a session with the plug-in instantiated on any track. Just loud clicks and pops when opening/closing the plug-in.

Anyone got better luck with this..?

Seems OK here. Same versions.

Tried trashing prefs?

That's odd...

Yeah, first time I had to try that since moving to 12. Trashed prefs, repaired permissions, reinstalled plug in. No luck though. Seeing all kinds of weird here; as before, no audio is passed.

Tried it as a VST3 on a stereo track in BlueCat Patchwork; left channel only. Tried it as a VST; right channel only. Tried it as an AU; no audio, PT meters show peak value only.

There are some reports of 'unexpected' behavior on the KVR forum; https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewt...p?f=6&t=483677

Wonder if this thing is worth all the trouble to begin with..?

Thanks for chiming in anyway Stephen.

Well IMHO it isn't special in any way shape or form so if these problems are this persistant then move on ... i bet you have enough EQ's in your arsenal as this one is a pretty low entry freebee and all freebees ain't good enough as we all know.

Yeah, it's not like I need another color EQ...

Volko Audio has released an up-date for Q3D that "Fixes an important bug."

Version 1.0.1 is working fine.

You're welcome.

Yeah, you got to hand it to those Volko guys, they caught that one pretty quick.

Hope springs eternal!

I must say I really dig the UI on these.

However I already have both the Wave API and IK Multimedia's. Then there is H-EQ. Quite happy with the way all of these sound. Not really on the market for another emulation

I find it great, no nonsense GUI, works like a charm and great audio quality, for the price is a no bainer over the MAAG eq if what you want is an AIR band.
Thx again Muddy!
