Default Pro Convert shown at AES

Don't know if any of you saw this at AES, i was not there...

It looks like the Company that made EDL Pro was bought out and the new Convert Software from SSL integrates and updates it. You can go from Nuendo to Pro Tools or any other number of combinations. This time, it is updated and not restricted to PT v5.

Maybe useful in a Post workflow?

I saw it.. looks like they reverse engineered the encryption Digi apply to their session files... I'd expect Digi to change the format.

Or sue them. Isn't that a violation of the DMCA?

Or does the fact that SSL is in the UK mean they're immune to that?

One of the SSL guys at AES told me that they did indeed buy the Company that made EDL Pro. It does seem like a usefull product. I dont have any need for it in my worklife so I did not bother to check it out. I did like the fact that any current SSL console can control Pro Tools.
