Just when I thought that all hope was lost for Avid I saw the announcement of Media Composer 5 today. I think we have a tiny shimmer of hope here fellow DUC'ers (keyword "tiny" ).
I see extremely positive response to the announcement on video forums which is something new. It seems, Avid's covered a huge number of long awaited features. Don't want to get my hopes too high but this is a good sign IMO.
Now for something like this to happen to ProTools .

if they can stay seperate as in not taking personel from the audio side andsuch and keep euphonix staffed, I am happy myself to see this. Assuming they now start pc support. this would totally be a fix for the lack of a middle ground control surface that we lack on pc. Then with it being owned by avid, no need for hui support as it is now for mac users. Would be an actual control surface for pt!

If this interferes even more for pt upgrades and updates, we will see it fairly quick, and hopefully they understand that w/o software and buyers, this new endevour will not save them!

That website style was a common look and trend back in 2005. Let's see how it evolves. I'm sure there is more work to be done on it...I hope.
