Default My Glyph HD keeps getting ejected randomly

Last couple of times I was working in PTLE8 and I closed one session(after saving) and re-open another, both saved on the glyph, my glyph hard drive becomes unrecognized suddenly, the alert window telling me its been improperly ejected pops up, and the session I was opening successfully opens, but no audio is loaded and the disk is no longer shown on the desktop. I have to power down the glyph, then close PTLE and re-start to get it to recognize the glyph again.
Anyone else ever have this happen to them?

Did you format the Glyph when you bought it? Or did you plug it in and just start using it?

Its connected with the firewire400 connection, and no it wasnt formatted. I was told not to format it because it is already ready already. I am running mac mini 2.56Ghz and 10.6.2 OS SL. Along with Mbox2, PTLE 8.0.2, and 4 Gigs RAM.
It doesnt happen often at all, but what I am concerned with is if it will become more frequent, or is settings are off. Other than this one little issue the system is tight.
Can it even be called an issue?

Go check you don't have a faulty SATA cable inside. I had to replace the dodgey cable in the brand new Glyph GT050Q I bought. Cost me about $20 to fix, but if you live in the US it should get done on warranty.

I found this solution after contacting the Glyph customer service - they isolated this problem for me pretty quickly, so i'm guessing they've had quite a few part failures.

I was pretty sure quoting BRAD LYONS if you buy a GLYPH all your problems go away?

How does one go about having that checked? Is it something I will have to mail off for 2 months? Or is there another test that can be performed on it to see if its faulty?

Honestly, having it happen when its between sessions, and only twice in a month, isnt so bad I cant live with it. If it starts messing with my sessions, thats another story. Thanks for the suggestion!
