PT's 7.3.1 stopped opening on my Mac 10.4.9

A few days ago Pt's stopped opening when I'd try to open a session file or PT's app. It had been working fine before. I do switch between my mbox mini and 002 rack pretty often. I was told to try trashing my DAE prefs which i think i did but still no dice. Basically when I would try to open PT's, the icon would bounce a few times in the dock and stop. I do run my sessions of an external Maxtor drive but I've also attempted opening the program natively which i think would cut out any external hard drive issues. Any suggestions anyone??

Why is that? He said that it worked fine before, then it just didn't launch anymore. Obviously, there's is no problem with compatibility. I have the same problem. Used ProTools LE 7.3 on my Intel iMac 20" the day before yesterday, and now it won't launch. I haven't done anything (like installing anything new, upgrade or reinstalling), but PT won't launch.

Why should "checking the Compability link" help me out? What exactly should i be looking for?

Mac OS X 10.4.9 has not been qualified with Digidesign products
If you must install Mac OS X 10.4.9 for some reason, such as issues with other programs or hardware, please follow these instructions:

Do not use Apple's automatic Software Update or the Mac OS X 10.4.9 Delta Update. Instead, install the Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Update for Intel-based or PowerPC-based Macs:

Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Update (PPC)

If you have already updated using Software Update by mistake, you should download and install the Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Update.

Hmmm, I've had the same trouble. But, I've got it working again by install the combo update and then a couple of weeks after I did so, when I updated my iTunes to 7.1.1, it stopped working again.

Help?
