Default THIS Thursday\'s Press Conference

Sorry, I couldn't Resist

Daly City, California – In keeping with new Avid/ Digidesign corporate policy, the weekly Thursday press conference was held again today and attended by members of the music press both national and international. Attendees anxiously waited for any scrap of information to pass along to their subscribers regarding future Pro Tools hardware and software releases, and the impending financial doom to be undertaken by its user base in a futile attempt to stay at the top of the technological ladder in the DAW market.

Not to disappoint, Digidesign wowed the crowds with the unveiling of the new corporate executive washrooms with claims that these new facilities would compete “head to head” with lavatory facilities costing tens of times more. A Digidesign spokesman went on to further explain that this new state of the art bathroom replaced the old facilities making the hardware found in the lavatories used by tech support and engineering obsolete and not compatible with the executives system needs. These departments were in the process of trying to pool resources and pony up the cash to swap their worthless commodes and urinals to the new Kohler executive standard that so mesmerized the captive audience. This new system ups the specs to 32 bits of waste removal compared to the old 24 bit level and with the choice of flow rates up to 192K the new system equals or exceeds any other available facilities on the market today. With these important conference announcements, Digidesign hopes to appease disgruntled users who complained of foul smells emanating from the old systems. An upgrade price for old facility users has not been determined but from all indications will be really expensive.

It's great to be informed on all the great goings on at Digidesign, eh?

Well, i hope at least this time, Digi includes a block diagram so we can properly ascertain the signal path and all it's summing and bussing "bottlenecks". It would be really sh*#ty to have any overflow of signal on the main out with this new system.
