Sc48 fwx pt9

Hi,

Recently used the SC48 for the first time and recorded the show to the supplied mac mini running PT10. Only used the Profile previously with HDX and MADI cards.

Have another show coming up that would be good to record but only have the budget for the SC48 and not the mac mini with PT10.

I do have access to a PT9 setup just wondering if this would work with 32 channels from the SC48 or if it would be limited to 18 channels?

Pro Tools 9 can do 32 tracks, but FWx card, if not updated in SC48 might only be capable of 18 i/o. Download firmware updater and have it with you just in case you need to update it yourself.

by the way.

mointain lion on a 2012 mac book air, via thunderbolt to firewire adapter, protools 9, 32 channels to an external usb 3 drive.

works perfect for me.
