Default Have any HD license owners without hardware done the upgrade?

Just wondering, for those who bought HD9 or HD10 licenses off Ebay, or used, etc., and never had HD hardware, have any of you bought the upgrade to HD11 yet, and had any issues with it? Just curious.

I was under the impression that people who are buying upgrades are already getting their Ilok licenses (surrendering 10 and getting the 11 and 10 license).

I could have sworn someone already said that.

Could be just people who bought it new, or bought an 11R or MBox Pro with it.

Some dealers have prices already for the HD upgrades, but maybe they're just functioning as pre-orders, and are not actually going through to Avid yet and getting anything. This would make sense, because in the Avid online store, they still have the old, more expensive HD upgrade prices to HD10.

i just upgraded my "spare" HD9 Licence (only Software with I-Lok
from Ebay) to HD10 , including HD11 (I-Lok Shows now HD10 and
HD11 ) , without any Problems .

THX Avid!

BTW now Shows my "Ebay"PT Licence up in my AVID Account,
which means it is now registered.
In the past it was not possible to Register a HD Software only
licence , because you needed a Hardware with a Serial number.

So thats possible !
before i upgrade my main rig (PT10HD with HD2 accel)
to ,maybe HDX ( if Pitch DSP AAX Comes out...) and PT11HD
i can use my second Licence to test PT11 and , if necessary,
convert sessions.

BTW does anybody knows if PT11 uses a new File Extension
or is it still *.ptx ?

At the webinar they said, PT 10 and 11 sessions are interchangable without any need for conversion, so this would mean it's still going to be .ptx.

I have just activated "Pro Tools 10 Upgrade from PTHD 9" authorization code.
At my avid.com account, the following was added:

Pro Tools HD 11.0 Upgrade from PTHD 9
iLok id: ******** 04/11/13
Licenses: Pro Tools HD 11 Bundle
Please visit www.ilok.com to retrieve your licenses!

I downloaded the license to my iLok,
"Pro Tools HD 9 Bundle" license was surrendered, and the following license was added:

Pro Tools HD 11 Bundle Avid Bundle Hide
Pro Tools 10 Avid License Never
Pro Tools 11 Avid License Never
Pro Tools HD 10 Avid License Never
Pro Tools HD 11 Avid License Never

So, remaining is, when Pro Tools 11 being released,
to download the installer, to install it,
then I should be able to use Pro Tools HD 11 immediately.

Even though I own HD hardware,
I believe this process itself is not related to HD hardware ownership at all.

So the licenses are being upgraded now before the software is out? Wow, I did not certainly know that!
