Default machine control issues after PT10 upgrade

Hello,
Just upgraded from PT8 to PT10.0.1 on Mac Pro, SnowLeaopard. Now unable to have PTs slave to Video Machine.

We use serial Timecode (Always have) We use a Keyspan USB to 9 pin serial and a Rosetta Stone 232 to 422. Setup session has Clock source set to SYNC, serial timecode chosen as positional reference. Clock reference is set to video reference and all is locked. PTs can control the machine. Pro Tools sees timecode. If Transport = Pro Tools and I put the machine online, Video machine will chase and lock. If I set Transport = machine and put Pro Tools online. Video plays and Pro Tools displays waiting for sync indefinitely. This would sometimes happen in older PTs if wait for countdowns or click track were selected in MIDI. All the Midi selections in expanded transport are unselected.

Any thoughts???

Default Re: machine control issues after PT10 upgrade

In my previous post I should have said:

Video plays and Pro Tools displays "waiting for sync point" but never locks

Question Re: machine control issues after PT10 upgrade

Does this only happen with one tape, one deck, or multiple tapes and multiple decks? Have you tried locking up with LTC?

Default machine control_session start time bug

I think I have discovered a bug in Pro Tools 10.0.1.

Normally our sessions start at 58;35:00.
This is because we have bars and tone at 58;45;00 to 59;45;00 then 5 seconds of black, and then a countdown slate to program.

In Pro Tools with transport = machine and PTs online, PTs never locks and instead sits with a "Pro Tools waiting for sync point" message.

If I change the session start time to anything after 59;00;02 - Everything works. I was able to repeat this in several sessions including a new blank session.
