Red face Time for a MAJOR upgrade. Any advice from the experts?

Hi everyone!!

Alright...I'm falling WAY behind the times here, and need some major upgradeage.

I'm running PT HD 7.4 on Mac OSX 10.4 and need to upgrade the Mac OSX AND PT HD 9.

I can't upgrade from Mac 10.4 directly to 10.7, I need 10.6 somewhere in between, but can't find the purchase download on the apple.com site.

What's the best way to do this? and where the heck do I buy 10.6?

I guess I'll go MacOSX 10.4 -> 10.6 -> 10.7 and then PT HD 7.4 -> PT HD9 ?

Is that right?

thanks soooo much for your help!! I can't do anything much with Mac 10.4 anymore.

Correct me if I am wrong but I am guessing that you are on a power PC mac and not Intel. If so the highest OS you will be able to run is 10.6. You should post some specs and it will be easier to help you with your upgrades.

Right. My Crystal Ball is at the office but I bet he is on a PowerPC.

After getting an Intel computer, you can go directly to 10.7.1. Get it at the APP Store, which you need at least 10.6.8 to get to.

SL can be found on ebay.

Amazon still has stock of Snow Leopard DVDs. Funny how the price goes up after it's been discontinued.
