Black video window when playback

Hello,
I am trying to playback a video but now the window is black.
The video tracks shows the Online button blue light on, I can see the frames but the video is still black.
The video engine in the Playback Engine menu is enabled.
I tried to playback the same video with different codecs:
Apple ProRes 422, DNxHD, DV, with no luck.
What else should I be aware of?

Maybe little system specs would be helpful..?

Sure.
PT Ultimate 2019.10 the upgraded to 2020.3.
MacOs 10.14.6.
Dante Virtual Sound Card.

The project before this one didn't have any issue and I haven't changed settings. Now also the previous projects give me a black screen.
Disbled the video engine. Enabled back. No luck.

In the Window menu, The submenu Video, shows a " – " tag instead of a " √ "

Okay then. As per this page, ProRes and DNxHD should be supported even on Catalina, so you may want to contact Avid Support with this problem.

For the records, Avid answered with a solution:

Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/AVX2_Plug-ins and empty this folder. Keep it's contents aside for now

Mac HD/Users/Shared/AvidVideoEngine and delete this folder

That brought PT video playback, back to work.

Good to hear they found you a workaround. Obviously video engine is work in progress now, hopefully next release will not need this
