Default 29.97 and 59.94 timelines for a project, should I reimport the footage for each?

Hey Folks,

So I'm experienced with Avid but not so much with small technicalities. I am trying to export two timelines for a documentary that is in the final stages of post: an Apple ProRes 422 in 29.97 fps, and another timeline at 59.94 fps. The raw footage is of varying dimensions and frame rates.

In a 29.97 project I reimported the footage at DNXHD 440 and will re-link to finish the post process, now for the 59.94 timeline, should I make a 59.94 project, and reingest everything again at 59.94 and relink to then export the 59.94 timeline? How would this affect the audio also?

Thanks so much for the advice folks.
