EQ with EQ III shortcut
Is here any other EQ plug on the market that does the shift click short cut of EQ III? In case you are not familiar with the short cut, with EQ III you can boost a frequency and then shift click the band to turn the boost to a cut of equal value.

Re: EQ with EQ III shortcut
That looks great but what I want is something that I can sweep around to find suspect freq and then lower them but not necessarily notch them

Re: EQ with EQ III shortcut
Fabfilter pro Q is my favorite interface. Dial a cut with sharp Q and then click hold the band solo (little headphones) to find the problem - release - done.... Even has spectrum in the background if you like (which I do)...

Re: EQ with EQ III shortcut
sorry, maybe I am a bit unclear. What I want to do is boost the frequency by say 10 dB, narrow Q, and then sweep around to find the bad frequency, which now will stick out like a sore thumb. Once I find the freq, I want to just shift click the boost and turn it into a cut. Comes from my old school days of working on consoles and sweeping eq's

Re: EQ with EQ III shortcut
I get you -
Isolate the freq- cut ProQ does this brilliantly - but not exactly as you describe. The soloed band exposes the badness without having to put in some giant boost. But - again - I get ya - if it has to work exactly like you describe - this is not your answer.

Re: EQ with EQ III shortcut
the McDSP can sweep and it can go wider than notch, it's that it goes narrower than most
has some comb-filter presets as well try the 14 day demo, worst case you like it and buy it

Re: EQ with EQ III shortcut
What's wrong with eq3? Still the fastest eq I know of. The short cuts are super fast and work on the controllers. No need for a mouse
