Default MIDI Channel Issues

Hello

I am having and issue that is making me want to tear my hair out!

Ok this is my setup:

I have the following Imac running 10.6, Mbox 2 and Pro tools 8.04 LE.
I also have a Korg TR workstation which is pretty much brand new!

My problem is this:

I open a session and create 2 or more midi tracks. In the inputs for those tracks I set it to 'ALL'

The output is set to channel 1 and 2 respectively

Local control on the TR is set to 'OFF'

I have updated the midiman patch names so they are working with PT8.

When I select a patch on the first track on channel 1 it sends this data and I am able to hear my in/out put when I create an aux track.

When I select a patch on the 2nd midi track it is being sent to channel 2. No patch change occurs on the TR unit. If I place midi data in that track using the pencil it does not output.

If I go into the Korg TR and goto midi settings it has the option to select what MIDI channel I use and currently it is set to 1. If I change it to 2 then the exact opposite happens. The track with channel 2 works but channel 1 does not. It is set to receive all notes in the global MIDI menu.

The manual makes no mention of changing to multi mode or any such thing.

I've checked the audio MIDI setup on my mac. The TR is set to send and receive on 16 channels.

Anyone have any ideas of what I'm missing here?

You would be better off hitting up the Korg forums.

Just did a firmware update and its sweet. But the thing is this issue was not a problem before. I will keep an eye on it.
