Cool D-Control Firmware Reset/Update

I recently upgraded to Pro tools 8 and noticed some problems with the faders on the ICON not working properly. After talking with tech support they suggested it might be a firmware issue. To fix the problem we had to reset the firmware to the factory settings and then update it to the current version within protools 8 setup/peripherals/ethernet controllers. Once you have reset the firmware you have to disable your ethernet controllers and then re-scan them. After doing so, you will be prompted to update the firmware. Here is the email I was sent with step by step instructions on how to do this.

How do I reset the firmware back to the factory default on a D-Control Main or Fader pack?

On the Main unit, hold down 'Select', 'Solo' and 'Mute' buttons located above the focus fader as you power on the unit.

On the Fader pack, hold down 'Select', 'Solo' and 'Mute' on the first channel of the Fader pack as you power on the unit.

In either case, the display will show 'D-Control Ready' if the procedure worked properly, rather than the standard 'D-Control'.

To put a unit into BOOT:

Power off main and/or fader packs. Press and hold the SELECT/MUTE/SOLO switches on the first (left most) channel of unit and power-up. Continue pressing SELECT/MUTE/SOLO until you see LEDs flash, and main scribble displays show “D-Command” or "D-Control". Then, return to Pro Tools/Peripherals/Ethernet controllers and proceed with the firmware download.
