Hi all,
Selling off a few things because I recently upgraded to an S3+Dock. Please see links below and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. Thanks! Open to offers and going outside of eBay. Thanks! -Ryan D-Command McControl (Avid Artist Control, but v1) McMix (Avid Artist Mix) 10KB Faders

Hi Ryan, are the faders ones you replaced because they were fightin faders? How are you finding the S3/Dock combo compared to the D Command?

Re: FS: D-Command ES, Euphonix McControl, Euphonix McMix, spare faders
Hey Andy,
The faders that were swapped were indeed putting up a good fight. Only one of them ended up being replaced if I remember correctly. The other's power cables from the motor simply got detached, so they were soldered back into place. Fader #3 will rarely not register touch for a second, but a quick exercise fixes it. I'm loving the S3/Dock combo so far. Obviously, my muscle memory with the D-Command helped a lot with the EQ and Dynamics section, but I'm finding new workflows and rebuilding new muscle memory. Being able to customize EuCon functions to a variety of buttons for my specific workflow is very handy! Admittedly, the faders are nowhere near as smooth as the ICON faders, but worlds better than Artist Series. However, after 5 minutes of working, you don't notice or care. I thought I'd need more faders than 16+1, but with the S3 (only) feature of multi-master mode, being able to utilize VCA and VCA spill workflows with 2 button presses has been great. I know I'm shooting myself in the foot by saying this on my own "for sale" page... but the S3/Dock combo is my favorite setup that I've had so far, and I haven't had it long. My brother's home studio has 4 McMix/McControl/Avid Control/JLCooper Surround Panner... again, with the new EuControl features (hidden tracks and VCA spill), it has a second life and it pretty great, even if THOSE faders feel like a toy.
