Default how to import pt 5.2 sessions into pt 8?

I am about to buy a new mac pro and digi 003r.

My old mac g4 dual 450 finally bit the dust - I've been using digi 001 and pro tools 5.2.

Luckily I have my pt 5.2 sessions on external hard drives. How do I import them into pt8?

thanks!

Because I have seen this fail for some, let me suggest that before you abandon 5.2, consolidate all of your audio files so they can be imported into new sessions "just in case".

Thanks for responding. My Mac G4 is dead. I luckily backed up my old Pro Tools 5.2 sessions on external hard drives.

I backed them up by dragging and dropping them onto my external hard drives as they were. So these are Pro Tools 5.2 sessions.

Do you have suggestions on how to import them into Pro Tools 8 without issues? Any and all suggestions would be helpful.

I have ordered a new Mac Pro and am will be using 003R.

Thanks for your time.

Pam

No need to import the. Just open your old sessions with PT 8. It should work just fine.
