Default recording midi

hi
I am trying to record onto an instrument track using expand 2 . I am getting a signal coming through but as i am playing, only some of the data is being written into the track and it is way behind in real time. I think it could be a latency issue but i cant find where to change it and that doesn't seem to explain why only some of the data is recorded. I am using a mac mini with 16 GB of ram and a 1 TB fusion drive. All advice is very welcome
Thanks everyone
Loftus

Didn't I read about serious issues with the fusion drive? What controller are you using(midi keyboard)? What buffer setting? Lower the better

Thanks dave. I ended up trying the demo version and everything worked well with that. I could record using expand2 and B-33 so it had to be a setting in the page i was working in, so i saved the demo version as a template and when i started a new session everything worked perfectly. Computers..who can tell??
thanks again for the advice
cheers Loftus
