The "core audio" driver yes, most audio drivers in OS X are "core audio" drivers. I was asking you to reinstall the driver. But I've also been saying very clearly multiple times, stop messing with the core audio manager -- that is separate from the actual driver, and this Avid provided utility does not work with this device. That warning is very clear on the Avid driver download page.....

The Mbox 2 Pro, Mbox 2, Mbox 2 Mini, and Mbox 2 Micro audio interfaces do not use the Digidesign CoreAudio Manager. Instead these devices are configured using the "Audio MIDI Setup" application in your Applications/Utilities folder, and the "Digidesign Mbox 2 Pro" (for Mbox 2 Pro only) or "Digidesign Mbox 2" (for Mbox 2/Mbox 2 Mini/Mbox 2 Micro) preference panes in your System Preferences.
You have to stop and read things instead of rushing around. Do you now understand this? Now with a clean driver reinstall what shows up in the OS X Audio Midi Setup Utility? And what does the Mbox 2 Pro preference panel show?

Darryl

Yes I got that.

In the AMS, I can see the Digi CoreAudio Device in the list (although I cannot have access to its options or settings).

When I open the Logic Audio preferences, the only choice is the Built in Output and Input.

Its not the "core audio" device in the Audio Midi Manager you are looking for its a "Mbox 2 Pro".

If you've done all this, and sure the Mbox 2 Pro works on another computer then its probably off to a wipe and clean OS X reinstall...
