Can I use it for sound? Can I use the expensive monitors I just bought for sound? I have relatively expensive gear that I can't fully capitalise on because of conflicts that at present seem set. I have rca cables that can be used for S/PDIF? Will this work?

Digidesign created the most practical hardware for their product, Pro Tools. In that respect, their hardware works exceptionally well.

They provide the ability to use it with other programs as a courtesy. They give no guarantees that it will work with every piece of audio software, nor should they have to.
