They have a few models, and some have built-in power. The tabletop un-powered version is the cheapest, followed by the rack version in your photo

@Dave

Thank you. What version would you get if you could choose one of those models? Is there a better version over this one?

Try the Axe FX II as well if you are looking at the Kemper. I bought an Axe FX recently and it is absolutely awesome.

One is powered, one is not. So if you want to be able to push speaker cabs you can get the powered. If that don't matter or have other power amps, get the non powered. It's really that simple.

This was my thought until I saw what the Helix can do. As an "all-in-one" device with an easy interface this may just replace my trusty 11R for live gigging.

Again Thanks guys for the great info. Looking at a used mint Axe FX 2 XL for less than 1200 dollars in the original box and only tested in a big studio complex. We would owe them a few hrs in the studio aswell for that price but it seem like it 's half of the new MSRP

That seem like a fair price when looking around on the web

Ah I would run not walk...

Be sure to install the Axe-Edit software to help set this up/configure rigs. There is way more flexibility/bits to fiddle with there than an Eleven Rack. http://www.fractalaudio.com/p-axe-edit-software.php
