Seriously, I'm very happy with what it can do already, though I'm finding myself glancing at the Axe FX more frequently these days.....now there's a stallion
You may want to wait and see what Positive Grid has in store....

If you like BIAS Desktop with all the ability to tweak everything, and model any amp tone, imagine that as hardware.

My 2 cents is get the Kemper it blows the Axe FX out of the water so good I own 2 of them :) best piece of kit I've ever brought and people love it when they come to the studio :)

I'm also going to say that Kemper and Axe FX are two completely different beasts. It's really disheartening hearing them compared to one another as it's two completely different pieces of kit designed to achieve the same result.

As someone who has owned as used both, I prefer the Axe-FX, especially now that the G3 firmware is out and on it. The Kemper is a great piece of gear and I certainly wouldn't bag it out. But saying it "blows the Axe FX out of the water" is a gross overstatement.

They'll have to try and figure out a way to make it only work with PT 13 first.

Oh how I wish they would add another expansion pack or an Eleven Rack V2, I just can't get these sounds out of anything else. I'm not an engineer or programmer but I can't imagine it would be a huge undertaking and they'd sell thousands.

OK, thanks, I'm done crying.

I'm surprised the name Line 6 hasn't even been mentioned here as in the top tier. I'm not a guitarist but I'm a 30 year producer vet. Line 6 stuff, that guys have brought in, has sounded just awesome to me.

I was a massive line 6 fan for many years but their stuff is just not on par with Axe FX or Kemper IMO and I've been playing guitar for 25 years :)

Ok maybe I was a little over the top but I tried both out before I brought the Kemper, I found it easier to dial in a sound and the best thing is with firmware updates your sounds don't change. :)
