Default Re: Avid Pro Tools 12 NAMM GC Pro ad

I was really looking forward to PT12. I guess I have some sort of unrealistic expectation that when the newer version comes out, a DAW platform will make a significant improvement in core features based on my experience with SONAR, Samplitude Pro, Session One and Reaper.

But instead Avid is solving a problem for me that doesn't exist. It's not like I haven't collaborated before. That is, guitarist in California, drummer in north Florida, keyboardist in Virginia and mastering guy in Kuala Lumpur. I mean, we've figured out how to move files around the world.

I am a 61 year old business owner with expendable income doing this as a part time enterprise running PT 11 native (which I guess isn't considered real PT around here) and I want PT to come up to where the rest of the my DAW world is. Give me track freeze. Don't make me resort to AutoMute to turn off the track echo on tracks that I am recording. Fix issues with multioutput synths like EZdrummer and Superior Drummer so that I don't have to employ workarounds to get to a finished product. Otherwise, I'm standing pat with PT 11 and PT 10 and Avid can find someone else to buy their products.

Same here. I was expecting a little more for PT12. Not impressed so far by the "new features". I couldn't care less about the cloud stuff.
