Re: No brainer from Don't Crack
Nice, looks like a pretty comprehensive channel strip.
How does it sound?

Re: No brainer from Don't Crack
Just bought it 'cause it's so cheap. I'll let you know if it"s any good. Either way, for this price it's worth it just for the adventure of trying it. Ha

Re: No brainer from Don't Crack
True Dat...Though my go to channel strip is Metric Halo. Getting to the point now where I've got at least a half dozen different channel strips: Eventide, Metric Halo, Avid, Waves, Waves Ren Channel, I think there's one or two more in there...and now Blue Tubes Track Box.
But hey, more cheap plugins is always better.

Re: No brainer from Don't Crack
This is part of the Integral Studio Pack 3, which comes with something like 50 plug-ins, some are excellent (Echoes, Cosmos, Magnetic II) . ISP3 went on sale last year for $199. It might go on sale for that amount soon. It's a mixed bag; some of them are definitely not all that good, but a lot of them are really good. Regardless, It's worth it.
http://store.dontcrack.com/product_i...roducts_id=898 I bought it back then, even though only 4 of the plug-ins were 64 bit AAX. Now they're all 64 bit AAX.

Re: No brainer from Don't Crack
I just bought it and gave it a try on a couple of vocal tracks I wanted to see if it would help a bit. Must say that I'm not very impressed. Yeah the tube gives a bit of presence, but it really really saturate waaay to fast. The ultra channel is a lot more usable to me than this, and I do mean to Me, other people might find this to be exactly what they need. I have my own input chain done (saved the audio track as a template with my plugins and my sends already on it so I could just select that when creating a track) which I get much better results with.

Re: No brainer from Don't Crack
I had this strip back before PT11. Pre-AAX. I kinda forgot about it, so I downloaded it and ran it again (as a demo). It works on some things, vocals may not be it's shinny spot.
One of the issues I have with this company is that since ilok was abandoned by them, serial numbers get lost on their end. So when I try to re-authorize, I'm told they can't find my serial number in there data base. I have a receipt, serial number, and ilok auth but that doesn't seem to matter to them. Their support is not very on top of things. But for under ten bucks...

Re: No brainer from Don't Crack
The only plugins from the Blue Tubes suite that are worthwhile, in my opinion, are the reverb and oilcan echo. Maybe the valve driver too, it's been awhile since I've used it.
