Is the S6 shipping yet?

Waiting on mine in Australia as well. Paid my deposit 3 months ago and was told end of June. Now they are saying early August.

Avid seems to struggle with EUCON related software issues, and it's just not clear how many folks they have to fix things (crushing all the silly problems with the low end Artist series would be a good move by Avid to show they are in control here...)

Hi there!

We had the opportunity to have a closer look on the S6 here in Germany. They were so kind to install the desk in our Studio for a couple of (long) days.

The tests we did were from a dubbing mixers POV.

To be honest, the list with things to be fixed or changed we sent to the dealer/distributor was long, very long!!!

We had hardware and software issues.

Hopefully with the upcoming Eucon update some of them
will be fixed.

S6 is shipping - albeit slower than we all would like… This has been due to some (un-expected) part changes by the supplier that caused an interuption and some other minor hardware tweaks. The version 1.2 software is shipping today which I think will excite many people - more details to come soon but it contains VCA Spill, Layouts and more!

Are the part changes all sorted now? Should it speed up moving fwd?

Yes - things should start picking up. That being said, there are a ton of orders to get out...

We pre-ordered ours in mid-December. Still waiting...

If there's any silver lining in this, it's this: When we finally get it, it'll have the updated components, and the software will contain many of the features that weren't there initially. Hopefully, this means that we'll be more stable out of the gate.
