Default h/w buffer size interruptions

hello, i know someone had posted about this a few weeks ago, but i didn't have the time to follow up on it. apparently other people have had the same problem. i have a mac G4, running os x with 733 mhz and i have 896 MB SDRAM. i am using pro tools 6.4 with the mbox. i get a lot of interruptions telling me to increase the h/w buffer size, and when i do, i will get another message telling me to decrease it, and to make the cpu percentage highter. it goes back and forth like this a lot!! even while i am recording a track, it will do this. i have contacted tech support and i did all the necessary steps to get this to stop , like trashing specific preferences and volumes. and i have been told that i have enough processing power to be able to run pro tools, a few plug ins, and some sequencing without getting interruptions. now someone had posted this same exact issue, i responded asking what is up. and then someone else responded by saying to get a pc? that 6.4 and mac osx 10.3.4 don't run together well and all the bugs haven't been figured out. now i find that a bad resolution, something that i won't do. i am not gonna just go out and buy a pc.i think digidesign should make right and resolve this little bug, i mean i see all the updates resolving other issues, just not addressing the one i have. i plan on installing reason 2.5 and when i get interruptions often enough to annoy on just a mere reason adapted, i can't imagine how often i will get these interruptions when i install the full blown reason. anyone know what i am saying here? is there an update i don't know about? please let me know. thank you
