Does Axiom AIR Mini 32 work properly with Pro Tools 11 and hypercontrol?

My plan is to get a small MIDI controller to pair with my laptop, for when I'm away from my main computer and primary control surfaces.

But I'm hearing conflicting things about the Axiom AIR Mini 32. I've read about how it doesn't work with PT at all, how it is the only controller with a functioning Hypercontrol personality for PT11, how it is plug-and-play, and how it will kick your dog and ruin your day. The M-Audio site was just restructured, so most of the links I find that claim to have actual information end up being 404.

Does anyone have this controller working with Pro Tools 11? The knobs mapping correctly to the faders is something I can do without, but I would prefer if it could properly map to plug-in parameters.

Yes – Axiom AIR Mini 32 and HyperControl work with PT HD 11.2.1 – I used Strike2 today – assigning Pads for Patterns and Knobs for Intensity/Playing Dynamics/Timing/Complexity and Feel/Ride/HiHat/Snare.
Certainly brings Strike2 alive – real knobs vs. mouse-moves!

I downloaded & installed the Windows driver (Axiom_AIR_Mini_32_1_0_1).

It's still not working on Mac, at least not for me. You can use the keyboard, but hypercontrol is not usable, not the knobs or the other buttons.
I could make it work with windows though. I'd love to find a solution for this since I run Pro Tools under mac 99% of the time.
I could find some updated software for mac here: http://www.m-audio.com/support/drivers-search
....but only for logic, cubase and garage band. No pro tools.
I've been looking for a solution to this for months, if someone could help me I'd really appreciate it.

The Axiom AIR Mini 32’s HyperControl works with Ignite – but not Pro Tools 11


The Transport buttons (Stop, Play, Record) do work with Ignite.
With Axiom AIR Mini 32's rotary encoders, you can adjust Ignite's
Track Volume, Pan and FX (for example: 4 Equalizer knobs).

But when you open a plug-in in Pro Tools 11 – the HyperControl button’s red lights are no longer visible – and the Axiom’s Transport buttons no longer work.

You can still create your own customized control settings with the encoder knobs. This standard MIDI Learn function works – but HyperControl does not work in Pro Tools 11.

I have had a lot of trouble getting the Axiom Air Mini 32 to work consistently with Pro Tools 8LE; 9; 10; 11 and 12. I think it is the drivers. I'm constantly installing and uninstalling the driver because my computer (Win 8.1, 64-bit) doesn't find it consistently.

I am thinking about giving up on it. If anyone has it working flawlessly, I'm open to ideas.

Even my tech support at PC Audio Labs is baffled by it.
