Default Avid will announce new DSP product(s) next week!

It seems that they will release a new DSP solution for Pro Tools.
From the screenshots, i assume that it will be Thunderbolt something, an external device seems logical..... the thunder icon on the button, is a clue leading to that conclusion IMO. Maybe will have more voices than the HDX cards....
On November 12th, Avid will "spill the beans".....

I predict that many people will get pissed off, if that is the case.

Cheers!

p.s.That's why they never delivered the long time announced voice increase for HDX cards.

Well, well, well! UA Luna was getting too comfortable, lol. Avid will hopefully attack. Avid stock went up today also slightly. I think they've made a deal with Plugin Alliance.

End the stupid voice packs and limitations! Update Pro Tools for the musicians and music producers! We'll gladly buy hardware and pay for updates.

I'm more thinking they found a way to offload Native AAX plugins to DSP. That would mean they can sell more HDX cards..

Most of the Plugin Alliance products are in AAX DSP format already.

https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/p...manufacturerAZ

For Avid to have an audio event on November 12th, must be something bigger regarding the DSP. Last time they had an audio event, was when they announced the S1,S4 and Matrix Studio, if i'm not mistaken...

Anyway, it's a matter of days to find out what's all about.

Cheers!

Obviously, they'll put a new spin on it. And I'm expecting something more than just a DSP hosting box.

Hmm, can’t remember a DSP solution being on the ideascale chart.
Let’s wait and see.
