Be aware that with the currency rate, the shipping and duties it might come to cost more. I just checked with my dealer at Sweetwater and they do distribute them to Canada.

Long and Mquade do have the jbl on stock so you could get it in store.

So does Axe they have it online

Then check the two links I gave you. It might end up costing you less. Because it's not just the currency change you have to think about but the shipping and the duties at the border.

I also love the JBL LSR5's. They are the truest sound in that price range, and by far the best deal. I can't praise them enough. The quality for that price is unheard of. They continue to serve me well, and my home sound design work translates wonderfully to larger stages. Regarding headphones, for me, and every other pro I know, the Sony MDR-7506's are the only headphones that exist in the world. They run between $80-$100, and sound true. What you hear is what is. Everyone I know still stands by them.

Edit: one speaker is enough for a starter, right? Its better 2 if you making stereo tracks for some kind of music that travels between left and right. I guess ?
