Default advice on Focusrite Clarett series

Anyone had any experiences with these interfaces and PT?

We are mainly interested in the 8pre or the 8x.

thanks in advance

I've had excellent results with their (previous generation) boxes, the LS56 and Pro40. Works/sounds great. Here's a review of the Claretts:

Sure. We have two of them, and they work just fine. Solid sound. I was actually surprised at the AD/DA converters, for the price. We're going to hook the units up to a Master Clock to see what that does?

I just wish they made the units with two Thunderbolt ports in the back instead of one.

I loved my Clarett when I had it. I switched over to a classic Mac Pro (no Thunderbolt) so I went back to a USB Scarlett. I miss the Clarett. Superb low latency and the Air preamp function sounded terrific.
