Default I can\'t setup my control panel

Im having a problem setting my digidesign control panel to my 001. The guy i bought it from did not have the 001 software but i was told the mbox le software would work and it does, but now im trying to listen to mixes through peak and jam and it won't come out the 001.when i try to set the digidesign control panel it gives me two options the first says mboxdissabled and the second one is the 001 #1 but when i select the 001 it dosent set it up.please help me.

I don't think the Mbox software will give you all the 001 options, I could be wrong but really you should just invest $75 and get PTLE 6.1 and install the Digi001 version.

This is the only surefire method.

I had a this problem when I tried to use my AM3 card with the Mbox software. I was unable to keep the AM3 card selected, it would reset to Mbox. I contacted the good people at Digi's Tech Support and they told me that there is a free "side grade" version of PTLE 5.1.1 download available for registard Mbox 5.1.2 software users. You might check it out in the software download section and see if you qualify. If not, then I believe you'll have to buy it. Contact tech support and ask them what your options are. Hope this helps.

The Pro Tools 5.x version for the MBox is not compatible with the 5.x version used with the 001 or 002. You need to buy the right version 5.x from Digidesign for the 001.
