Default Alesis AI3 A/D?

Couple of people including are myself were asking about this converter. Is anyone using one of these? It gives you 8 balanced ins with 24 bit, 48,000khz conversion to 8 chanels of ADAT optical for A list price of $399. Now I know all about the "you get what ya pay for." speel. But I am curentaly using my blackface ADAT for a converter now and it doesent sound bad for 16 bit, so I figure it probably isnt bad for the price any comments?
