Keyboard Shortcut to tab cursor to next grid line?

Under the "Change Num Key (1...0)" section, check the first box. It says "Fn+Number to keypad."

Also, I discovered that holding shift when you nudge will move the cursor to the next grid line, even if audio is selected. Holding shift + nudge therefore unselects the audio.

I would love if 1 and 2 on the number pad tabbed the cursor to the next gridline, as is suggested here, but when I hit 1 or 2 it move the cursor by a seemingly random amount! And it's not a consistent amount, it's a little different every time! Is it really supposed to tab to the next grid line? Is there maybe another way to do this?
