Scrolling option key commands

Then click in the Keyboard Shortcut field and perform the key command you want to use. Make sure to click Add and not hit enter, or your keyboard shortcut gets replaced with Return. Repeat for each option you want a shortcut for.

Make sure that the keystrokes you want to use are not already used, or they won't work for the old function anymore.

Also, these can get wiped out of System Prefs when you trash Pro Tools prefs, so use a utility like Peter Gate's PT Prefs app to backup and restore your prefs, when necessary.

Thank you! It worked perfectly.

I have to say that the way PT handles key commands is really primitive. When you say to pay attention not to use an already set KC that is almost impossible to check it, lacking any interactive key commands window like any other daw has.

No perfect daw in this world

This one is always updated with Pro Tools itself. It opens up if, in Pro Tools, you go to:

Help > Pro Tools Shortcuts

menu option. I get the feeling a lot of people who post on the DUC don't realize there's a User Manual and Shortcut Manual included inside the program.

(But, to be clear, I have found things wrong in both manuals when they haven't been updated -- especially when the development team has been switching around shortcuts and options this past year due to overlap or elimination.)

I had never seen the first link which I find very useful.
The second one is a bit of a mess in my opinion. A proper tab is incomparable to both sheets.
