Need fader for C24

I have a dead fader on my C24. Long story. Been like that since I got it. Supposedly Digidesign/Avid sent one to my dealer (Pacific Pro Audio) and they had it but 'lost' it. I got too busy producing for Universal Music here to bother with repair. Have time. Want to fix it.
I've done all trouble shooting, reboot etc. The fader is physically damaged.
Where can I beg, borrow, steal or buy a new fader?
I've written some of the repair folks on the Avid site, but suspect they'll say "Send it in" to which I would say The cost of shipping would exceed the value of the C24.

check out this thread, I replaced one of my faders. Bought it from full compass. Part number included in the post. Feel free to ask me any questions concerning replacing the fader.

Is the repair hard? I've done a fair bit of this kind of stuff so suspect I can figure it out.

removing all the screws is the biggest pita. you will probably need someone to hold the c24 upside down while you screw in the 2 allen bolts, as with the bottom off there is alot of delicate boards.

Got it from Full Compass! In Canada, a company called CEV (dev.ca) is the relay for Full Compass. Beneficial dollar conversion.
Will probably do this repair when Fall is on us. Own an organic blueberry farm, so still pretty busy with harvest and post harvest clean up.

Yeah… it's nice here! Stroke of serendipity that we ended up here. US citizen etc, moved here age 55! (13 years ago!!!) Organic blueberry farm. Remote, so finding anyone who knows how to solder a 1/4" jack well can be a challenge, much less wire a studio or put in a new C24 fader, so I've learned how to do much that I used to rely on others to do - everything from repair the studio stuff to tractors, small engines, plumbing etc. Kinda fun.

Courtney is close! Have performed at the big folk festival there a few times. Great place.
