Re: Superior drummer or Steven slate drums
I'll go off-track here and suggest Addictive Drums. I own SD2 with some kits, and like it plenty, but AD is less money, and surprisingly easy to use, while still sounding great. SPlitting out to separate tracks is much simpler than SD2(can't comment on the Slate stuff as I have not used it). Check out some youtube videos on any that you are curious about. You'll find lots of info and hear most of the options. Personally, If you want to use the midi loops, I think AD has an edge in how you can sort and search.

Re: Superior drummer or Steven slate drums
You already have Superior; what makes you look for something else? Do you have any of the expansion packs? Is it a particular type of kit/sound that you miss? Just curious...

Re: Superior drummer or Steven slate drums
Hi PT Lover, just think that SSD4 looks easier to adjust kits and sounds etc. I have New York Factory and drum kits form hell. I just thought from the you tube video that it looked a lot more user friendly.

Re: Superior drummer or Steven slate drums
Gear Acquisition Syndrome
You may know this, but Groove3 has a Superior Drummer Explained video tutorial series that I found very helpful. Also, from what I heard in the SSD 4 video, the kits didn't sound better than the ones Toontrack offers. This is of course a matter of personal opinion, but still - it's all about the sounds and the music. Anyway, good luck.

Depends on your taste. That's it. I have Superior, SSD3.5, and now I just got SSD4.
I prefer SSD. They fall right into my mixes with near perfection. Sent via VM670

Re: Superior drummer or Steven slate drums
I agree with you 100%. As a drummer myself, triggering several libraries with a V-Drum kit, SSD 4.0 is the best drum library I've ever used. As far as I'm concerned, they've knocked it right out of the park!
